[Fashion] Miley Cyrus covers up for Harper's Bazaar

In the past several days, Miley Cyrus has been both everywhere and nowhere at all. #DeepThoughts. The 20-year-old singer hasn’t been publicly photographed since the 12th, but reports that she’s gone back to being a brunette set the internet ablaze on the 13th, when a fan-made video showing Cyrus with a noticeably darker ‘do emerged in Paris. (Sadly, the original video in question was recorded on the 10th, and Miley was definitely blonde two days after that. We do detective work on the side over here, BTW. Inquire within.) So, yeah. She’s been M.I.A. for four days now, which is basically like, YEARS in interweb-time. Thankfully, Harper’s Bazaar is here to hold us over ’til the next sighting with the release of their October cover (yes, different from the couture spread she did for the mag’s September issue!), featuring an uncharacteristically covered-up Cyrus in a sleek and sexy Burberry Prorsum LDB.

To quote Stevie Wonder: Isn’t she lovely, you guys? (Sorry-not-sorry for getting that song stuck in your head.) Photographed by her “Wrecking Ball” video director, Terry Richardson, a fresh-faced Miley looks mature and refined on the cover of Harper’s with cherry red lipstick to match her stand-out manicure. Inside the magazine, she slips into yet another cut-out LBD (this one by Saint Laurent), and reveals that no matter what she’s wearing, she’s sure that her style is always in season: “I feel like every girl is trying to have a beauty show and prove that they’re ‘fashion,’” she says. “But I can be in white leggings and a white sports bra and I’m on a whole other level of s*** that those girls don’t even get yet because they don’t know how to do it.”

BLOOP! *hair flip* You do you, girl! What’s that old saying? Kill them with kindness confidence? Looks like Miley may even actually have a future in fashion if she can ever find the time. She told Harper’s that she’d love to make “real stuff with high quality. Not quantity,” she insists. “But not until I know I can give it 120 percent. I don’t want to just slap my name on something.” ‘Cause she can’t stop. And she won’t stop.

What do you guys think of Miley’s new cover? Do you dig her polished steez?
