[News] Miley beats One Direction's VEVO record

Miley Cyrus has managed trump One Direction’s VEVO record after ‘Wrecking Ball’ has become the most-viewed music video in just 13 hours since following its premiere yesterday. The ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer made yet another controversial move with the video for her latest single, which sees Miley straddle a large ball while holding onto a chain completely naked while also pretending to kiss a sledgehammer, making for one of her raunchiest moments yet in addition to her MTV VMAs performance.

In just a day, the ‘Wrecking Ball’ music video had clocked up more than 12.3 million views at which point it overtook One Direction’s record-breaking feat with ‘Best Song Ever,’ which received 10.7 million views in its first day back in July. “We broke the record :) We hit 12.3 million on vevo :) keep watching #wreckingballonvevo thank you Smilers,” Miley tweeted. “DONT STOP WATCHING WRECKING BALL WE HAVE 9 Hours More we can get the Views Higher! #WreckedTheRecord.”

‘Wrecking Ball’ has now scored more than 15.2 million views and has just a few hours to go until it officially becomes the most-viewed video in 24 hours. Miley previously achieved the feat earlier this year with the debut of her ‘We Can’t Stop’ video before it was overtaken by One Direction. Meanwhile, Miley has officially unveiled the official tracklist for her upcoming album ‘Bangerz’ and It has shaped up to be a star-studded affair with Britney Spears, Big Sean, Nelly and Future confirmed to feature on an array of songs. ‘Bangerz’ is set for release on October 8 and there will also be a deluxe edition available for fans.
