[Interview] New Miley interview with UOL
When Miley was in Chicago a few weeks ago, she did an interview with UOL, a Brazilian website, where she promoted her Bangerz tour concert in Brazil next month. Check out a few of the quotes from Miley's interview below:
"We've been doing this show since February and I was always pretty calm about it. I only get nervous if there's too many of my own friends in the audience because it's just weird performing in front of people that you know."
"I always tell the fans that part of the performance comes from us and another bit is them reacting to us. There's a lot of crowd participation in our show that isn't in a lot of people's show. We have this kiss-cam and stuff. We made them do more that just watch, we really keep them involved in the show."
"There're some parts of the show that we couldn't bring (to Brazil) and I started freaking out about what I was gonna bring and how I was gonna replace it. And then I started thinking about the last time I was there and the freedom I felt like the Brazilians had and all the colours and I wanted to bring that to the show."

This year in May, when Miley was in Paris for her Bangerz tour, a couple of photos of her doing a photo shoot surfaced online and many people assumed it was for V magazine - well they got it right!
Yesterday, Miley's new cover of V magazine leaked on the internet - and Cyrus looks stunning! But the most exciting thing is that the spread was shot by the one and only Karl Lagerfeld!

[News] Ed Sheeran Slams Miley Cyrus Feud After VMAs Drama, Says He's "Never Met Her"
All good? Although Miley Cyrus was caught calling Ed Sheeran an "a--hole" while he accepted the MTV VMA for Best Male Video of the Year for "Sing," the British singer told Ryan Seacrest that he has no beef with the "Wrecking Ball" singer.
In case you missed it, while en route to the stage to accept his Moonman this past Sunday, Sheeran reached out for high-fives and Cyrus was undeniably caught mouthing "a--hole" as he passed by her. Sheeran, however, says he is unfazed by the diss. "Well, I don’t know why people were expecting that [high-five]. I’ve never met her," he told Seacrest on Wednesday, Aug. 27 when asked about the drama. "There was a high-five between me and Scooter [Braun] because I know him, and that was the only high-five. I don’t know what people were expecting," he added.
Taylor Swift's BFF went on to dispel any bad blood. "I think she’s a fantastic artist," he said of the twerking queen. "I think she’s got a great voice, writes great songs."
Back in September 2013, Sheeran had a different point of view and made headlines when he called Cyrus’ MTV VMAs showstopping moment a "stripper's move" to The Mirror. "If I had a daughter of mine, I wouldn’t want her twerking," he said. "When I first heard 'Wrecking Ball,' I thought it was a brilliant song. But the video distracts too much from it."
[News] Miley to perform at the 2014 iHeartRadio Australia Music Festival
This year, for the first time, the iHeart Radio Music Festival is being held in Australia. Miley, who also performed at last year's festival, is scheduled to appear again this year! The event takes place on October 18 in Sydney, Australia, at the Allphones Arena.
The festival will also feature Redfoo, Miracle, At Sunset and The Faders. More performers will be announced soon.

[News] Miley Cyrus Defends Criminal Past Of Homeless VMA Date
Miley Cyrus is jumping to the defense of the young homeless man who accepted her MTV Video Music Award this weekend.
The singer took to Twitter after news surfaced about the criminal background of 22-year-old Jesse Helt, who attended the ceremony as the face of a Hollywood homeless youth shelter supported by Miley called My Friend's Place. The pop star writes:
People who are homeless have lived very hard lives. Jesse included.— Miley Ray Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) August 26, 2014
She says she hopes that his story "can be the start of a national conversation about youth homelessness" and also poses a question about the media's scrutiny of Jesse asking, "does looking down upon the homeless help people excuse their inaction?"
A number of stars have voiced their support of Miley after she used her spotlight at the VMAs for the important cause. Maria Shriver, Susan Sarandon, Britney Spears and Emma Roberts have all tweeted their encouragement.

[News] Miley Has Raised More than $200,000 for Charity Since the VMAs
For two years running now, the post-V.M.A.s story that has continued to hold people’s attention has been instigated by one Miley Cyrus. But while last year, Cyrus’s on-stage antics had the nation semi-scandalized, as footage of her twerking upon Robin Thicke played on a loop on seemingly every network for days, this year, the post-game discussion is . . . well, it’s of a very different nature.
Cyrus had Jesse Helt, a 22-year-old homeless man, accept her Video Music Award prize, for video of the year, on Sunday night. Helt said he was accepting the award “on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless homeless youth in the United States who are starving, lost, and scared for their lives right now,” while Cyrus watched on, tearfully, from the front row of the audience. Helt directed fans to Cyrus’s Facebook page where there was information for donating to My Friend's Place, a Los Angeles organization that, per The New York Times, “helps homeless people from the ages of 12 to 25 find housing, jobs, health care and schooling.” Cyrus then spent the rest of the evening with Helt, Instagramming a shot of them at In-N-Out after the show, writing “me and my hero at in n out celebratin.”
According to Mashable, Cyrus’s rep said that MTV was not aware of Cyrus’s plans in advance of the evening, and My Friend’s Place said they similarly did not know what Cyrus was planning. According to The New York Times, Cyrus had, by Monday afternoon, raised more than $200,000 via her Facebook page for the organization. (People who donate before Septemeber 21 are entered in a lottery, the prize being a chance to hang out with Cyrus in Rio de Janeiro when she is there on her Bangerz tour.) “Now is just the beginning for me,” Cyrus said in a video released after the V.M.A.s. “We gotta start somewhere.”
According to the executive director of My Friend’s Place, Cyrus met Helt last Tuesday at the center. She bought him the suit and dress shirt he wore to the ceremony, and she put him up in the hotel he stayed at over the weekend. She also paid for him to return to Salem, Oregon, to spend time with his family following the V.M.A.s. Cyrus told Ryan Seacrest Monday that Helt—who sat next to her during the telecast—was mistaken for her boyfriend several times at the show.

[News] Miley's teaming up with Jeremy Scott for NYC Fashion Week
According to MTV, Miley Cyrus and Jeremy Scott will be teaming up for the designer's spring/summer 2015 presentation next month at New York Fashion Week. Scott was tight-lipped about exactly what the collaboration will entail, but claimed the collection is built around "cool kids," each with his/her own distinct look, as opposed to the runway model clones that fill most fashion shows.

Miley did another memorable appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards!
Last night (24th Aug) were the 31st annual MTV VMAs in California and Miley showed up with an amazing two piece black leather outfit by Alexandre Vauthier. She looked extremely sexy and beautiful, but these aren't the big news. Last night Miley took home the biggest award of the night - Video of The Year for her "Wrecking Ball"! But instead of coming on stage and saying a cheesy acceptance speech, Cyrus sent one of her homeless friends from "My Friend's Place", Jesse, to accept her moonman. The young man said many emotional things during his speech, check out a video of it below.
The purpose of what Miley did was to raise awareness and to end youth homelessness. Jesse urged everyone to go to Miley's Facebook page and to donate for this good cause! You can donate too!

[News] Miley Cyrus' Concert Banned In The Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic government commission that oversees public performances is banning a Sept. 13 concert by Miley Cyrus on morality grounds.
The commission said in a statement Thursday that it took the action because Cyrus often "undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law."
Tickets ranging from $27 to $370 for the concert in the capital have been on sale since July.
Some critics have declared Cyrus' onstage antics, including twerking and crotch-grabbing, as vulgar.
A representative for Cyrus did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Concert organizers in the Dominican Republic did not comment on the ban.
The commission in the past has banned songs it considers vulgar from the airwaves, including some by Calle 13 of Puerto Rico.
[News] Steven Drozd from "The Flaming Lips" about Miley: “She's a Fucking Badass”
Miley Cyrus has been writing and recording songs with The Flaming Lips for the follow-up to Bangerz. The oft-nude diva has admitted as much in past interviews but many fans and commentators never expected the joint-project to see the light of day. They could be in for a big surprise, according to the band’s composer/guitarist Steven Drozd.
“We’re going to try to make a record with her if we can work this out because we’ve gotten together with her a few times in a recording studio and she’s fucking badass,” he said in a recent interview. “She’s a total pro and sings like a bird. She’s very patient and did take after take and was totally laid back,” the Electric Würms mastermind raved. “I’m hoping that we can help her make a record that she wants to make for the next phase of her career.”

It's been revealed that Miley will be seated next to Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday (24th Aug). Nicki Minaj recently broke Miley's 24 hour VEVO record with her new video for "Anaconda" so let's hope there won't be any hard feelings between the two starlets during the ceremony. :)

It's official! This Sunday (24th Aug), Miley Cyrus will attend the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, California! Her presence was confirmed by a commercial that aired on MTV yesterday.
It's not certain if she will present an award or perform.
This year, Cyrus is nominated in two categories at the VMAs - Video Of The Year and Best Direction (both for Wrecking Ball). Fingers crossed she takes home at least one of her awards!

[News] Miley Cyrus Accepted the RICE Bucket Challenge
After sister Noah and dad Billy Ray completed this week's charitably viral video trend, the Ice Bucket Challenge, the nominated Miley Cyrus (and her brother Braison) to take part. Except things got a little lost in translation and instead of pouring freezing cold water over themselves, Miley and Braison poured white rice. Those jokesters! While many of Miley's Instagram followers seem to believe the ice/rice discrepancy is a genuine mistake, Miley's choice in hashtags makes it clear she's just being Miley funny. The video's caption reads, in part, that "it ain't about the pourin'," and that it's instead about raising awareness for the cause, the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease) Association.
[News] Miley Cyrus Makes a 5-Foot-Tall Bong Using Fans' Gifts
Miley Cyrus is quite crafty!
The 21-year-old "We Can't Stop" singer took to Instagram over the weekend to share a photo and video of a homemade bong she crafted from fans' gifts. "Werk in progress," Miley captioned one pic.
The colorful smoking device was created using dozens of rainbow bracelets with multi-colored beads and letters on them. Miley also used different ribbons, bows and fake flowers. The 5-foot bong was completed with multiple dinosaur toys, two strobe lights, a doughnut figurine and fake leaves.
"5 foot bong almost complete this one is a collab with my f--king beyond kiewl fanz," the crooner also posted with a video showing how tall the bong is.
Miley also shared some other pics of fan gifts, writing, "Love this s--t" and "Super cool fan bracelet @waynecoyne5."
"Smiler rave bracelets :) thanks you guys," she added.

[Awards] Miley wins "Global Instagram Star" at the 2014 MTV Millennial Awards
The MTV Latin America Millennial Awards honor the best artists in pop culture. This year's ceremony was recorded yesterday in Mexico City and will be broadcasted this Sunday on MTV Latin America. Our girl Miley took home the award for Global Instagram Star. Congrats, Miley!
Also, don't forget that the MTV Video Music Awards are only less than 2 weeks away and Miley's not only scheduled to attend, but she's also nominated for two moon mans! Fingers crossed she wins them both!

[News] Miley Cyrus gets a pet piglet and names it Bubba Sue
The latest addition to the Cyrus household is a piglet named Bubba Sue.
And on Sunday, Miley Cyrus took to Instagram to announce the newest member of her family.
Though she is currently in the middle of her Bangerz tour, the 21-year-old clearly had plenty of time to shower the little piglet with affection.
Miley - who is known as a dog lover - shared a photo which showed her peppering Bubba Sue with a kiss.
In 2012 a piglet named Nora was sponsored by PETA for the singer's 20th birthday.
According to E!, Tracy Reiman, Executive Vice President of PETA, said of the sponsorship: 'PETA knew that sponsoring a rescued pig was the perfect birthday present for a young woman who spends so much time encouraging others to help animals.'
She added: 'From promoting animal adoption to speaking up for cows who suffer on dairy farms, Miley never stops letting her millions of fans know what they can do to make the world a kinder place.'
[Awards] Miley won "Choice Instagrammer" at the 2014 TCAs
Last night (10th Aug) were the 2014 Teen Choice Awards and despite not being able to attend the ceremony, Miley won an award! Cyrus was nominated for two TCAs this year - Choice Female Artist and Choice Instagrammer but took home only Choice Instagrammer. Congrats, Miley!
The singer couldn't attend the show because she had a concert in Missouri the same evening.

Last night (9th Aug), Miley performed at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky as part of her Bangerz tour. The show went well but during one of her performances, Miley hurt her leg and it was bleeding pretty badly. Let's hope she's okay now.

[Gallery Updates] Miley's night out in NYC
Last night (5th Aug), Miley was spotted leaving her hotel in NYC and heading to the Sing Sing Karaoke bar with her friends. Later the same night, she was spotted leaving the bar with Sky Ferreira.
A video of Miley singing Wrecking Ball with a couple fans inside the bar hit the internet a couple of hours ago. Check it out here. Also, people who were in the bar said that Miley and Sky covered Lana Del Rey's song "Shades of Cool".

[News] Miley got 2 new tattoos
Miley Cyrus had a whole day off between her Pittsburgh and North Carolina tour stops, so the singer decided to stroll into New York City and hook up with celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang for some fresh new ink.
Bang Bang and Cyrus played twinsies by inking a pair of matching crescent moons on their skin. The tattooist chose to ingrain the “BFF” tat onto his thumbs, while Miley slapped it onto her left inner-arm (or elbow-pit, as I like to call it).
The “Adore You” singer also nabbed a second piece of ink from Bang Bang, opting to pay homage to the Flaming Lips with the words “Love Yer Brain” tattooed onto her right forearm.
The hand-scripted tat references Wayne Coyne’s psychedelic track off the Lips 1987 album Oh My Gawd!!!.

"We'll be taking the fucking Bangerz tour around the world, we love doing this so much and I love doing this part of the show (the acoustic set) with you guys so much, without everything and having to be up there with all the shit and whatever. So we decided to basically do the whole next tour just like this because I love being with you guys so much and I love it being simple and being able to like focus on your faces rather that focusing on a big fucking orange feathered bird coming at me and fucking sliding down a tongue and fucking shaking my ass on a car. If I wanted to shake my ass for a living I would have been a stripper and not a singer and I forgot about that shit that I'm actually not a stripper I am a singer. So I'm excited to get back on the road and be able to do a show that's a bit more about that shit."
