Dizzee Rascal has described Miley Cyrus as "a really clever girl".
The 'Bonkers' rapper said that Cyrus's recent success is largely down to the quality of her music.
He told the Daily Star: "Both her songs were number one and now her album and single are number one. They say it's because of her video but the songs always come first."
He also praised newcomer Lorde, who is on course to score her first UK chart-topper with debut single 'Royals'.
"Lorde is cool. It's about the words and the beat. It's good music," he said. "I like the song. She's got common sense. She sounds like she's influenced by the stuff she's talking about."
Dizzee Rascal's latest album The Fifth was released last month and reached number 10 on the UK chart.
