The fans have spoken and with more than 55,000 votes, the song of summer is … Miley Cyrus‘ “We Can’t Stop.”
She debuted the track exclusively with On Air with Ryan Seacrest on June 3, and it clearly has become an instant hit.
The theme of the song, partying and having fun with friends, is quintessentially summer, so it makes sense fans voted for it.
But it was a close call for Miley, with Selena Gomez‘s “Slow Down” nipping on her heels, followed by Avril Lavigne‘s “Here’s to Never Growing up,” “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey, and “Right Now” from David Guetta and Rihanna in the Top 5.
