Miley Cyrus Wears A Faux Fashion Brian Lichtenberg Sweatshirt

First Beyonce, now Miley?! We said it once and we’ll say it again: faux fashion tops are definitely having a moment. And don’t think it’s stopping in 2012, either…months after this clever repurposing of fashion brands first crossed our radar, the trend is still going strong. Just take Miley Cyrus, who rang in the holiday season with her family and pets, decked out in a sweatshirt that paid homage to both designer fashion AND furry friends. We all know that the pop star and actress is a total animal lover, so we can’t really think of a better model for the Brian Lichtenberg “Feline Meow” sweatshirt, can you? Brilliant!
She tweeted the photo of herself posing with makeup artist Denika Bedrossian last week, saying “Merry Xmas! Love, The Dolls.” Both girls are working sweatshirts from the L.A. designer’s new collection of goods, available online now. Whereas Miley’s version is yet another repurposing of the iconic Celine tee, Denika’s black and white topper twists Hermes into “Homies, South Central.” These casual statement pieces MIGHT not fall under the category of traditional holiday dressing, but then again, that’s precisely why we love them. If you’re just as obsessed as we are with these sweats, buy them over at Revolve for $105. And tell us- are you willing to shell out the cash for “fake fancy” clothes, or would you rather save up for the real thing?
