Yesterday we noticed two things: Miley Cyrus was wearing her engagement ring again (!), AND she tweeted a picture of herself in some kind of unicorn onesie. And while we were squeeing and dying over Miley’s ice being back and how it must represent her and Gale Hawthorne Liam Hemsworth’s reconciliation, now we’re losing it for an entirely different reason: Miley apparently wore that unicorn onesie for the sole purpose of twerking it to J Dash and Flo Rida’s “WOP”! See? She wasn’t wearing that onesie for no reason! She had a VERY IMPORTANT unicorn-onesie-twerking party to attend. Miley Cyrus: always keeping us on our toes.
Filmed in grainy black-and-white video, Miley’s face is half hidden as she twerques and werques to J Dash and Flo Rida’s club-ready jam. Apparently Miley was pretty psyched about her twerking, because last night she posted “WOP” to Facebook and followed it up with a tweet: “CHECK IT #WOP #1Z #UNICORN #TWERK.” And while there are endless things to say about “WOP”‘s sheer ridiculousness, the best part has to be when Milers pulls off her onesie hood at the end to playfully stick her tongue out at the camera. Also, who could dance THAT well while wearing what basically counts as pajamas crossed with a Snuggie? Is she TRYING to drive us mad with excitement over her upcoming album? Well, we’ll just have to pour our energies into memorizing the entire “WOP” routine for the next time we hit the dance floor (which will obviously make us the most popular ones on it — you’ll see!!).
Okay, internet. What do we make of this? Miley Cyrus just released a video of her twerking in an animal-inspired onesie, twerking to Wop by J. Dash on YouTube and her Facebook. I have to say, I’m admire Miley’s abilities to twerk and to not be bad at it. I think when it comes to twerking it helps to have some more curves to work with and Miley’s extremely athletic body still can bring it. Girl’s got skills! I do have to comment though that I would probably enjoy the video more if she wasn’t in a onesie, but ah well. She’s just bein’ Miley.
Those (former) Disney Channel girls really know how to work it. While Vanessa Hudgens was busy booty poppin’ on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Miley Cyrus was getting down to J. Dash’s “Wop” just for fun… in a unicorn onesie! Apparently, the day she Instagrammed that picture wearing her newly-returned engagement ring, the former Hannah Montana song got her twerk on.
We all know that Miley Cyrus has been in the studio working with some top hip-hop types – including Pharrell Williams and Tyler The Creator – on her new album. But this is something we *never* thought we’d see – Ghetto Miley TWERKING in a unicorn outfit for our viewing pleasure.
Yup, Miley posted a vid to J Dash and Flo Rida’s track ‘WOP’ ON Twitter last night featuring some totes swaggerific dance moves…and everyone’s loving it.
In the clip, M-Dawg dons a rather fetching unicorn onesie and twerks like her frickin’ life depends on it. And in case you’re wondering what ‘twerking’ actually is, Urban Dictionary informs us it’s ‘the rhythmic gyrating of the lower fleshy extremities in a lascivious manner with the intent to elicit sexual arousal or laughter in ones intended audience.’ But we knew that already, ’cause we’re really street and stuff.
And after the vid went viral, LOADS of celebs took to twitter to say how amazing it is, from Will.I.Am to Nelly and new BFF Pharrell. Ooh, check Miley being a massive hit with the urban crowd. Our fave was Cara Delevigne, who tweeted ‘TWERK! Check that unicorn ass out! If only the dinosaur was there :(‘
AGH. We’re definitely not twerking around the office right now. Trying to catch the attention of the guy from IT. Nope, definitely not.
Well, here’s a video of Miley Cyrus twerking in a unicorn onesie. It’s not the new single we’ve been waiting for, but it is oddly hypnotic.
Want an explanation for why this happened? Nope, you’re not going to find that here, or anywhere else, but it’s truly the most quintessentially “She’s just being Miley” moment that’s ever happened, to borrow from her best friend Lesley. Cyrus posted the video late last night, and then tweeted a lot about it, and then #Mctwerkteam trended worldwide. The Power of Miley.
