This past Friday night, Miley Cyrus sent out the following tweet:

Didn’t know this was coming out yet! I’m so happy to be #1 on Maxims HOT 100! #myfanskickass #dreamsdocometrue

[News] Miley Cyrus goes gold as #1 on Maxim Hot 100 list

Let’s all give it up for Miley Cyrus, you guys! In between fanning Met Ball rumors and nabbing consecutive covers for ELLE UK and V magazines last week, the singer has managed to land herself the coveted #1 spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 list! Seriously, though, this is NO easy task. Each year the men’s publication pits hotties from the music, film, and fashion worlds against each other, and this time around, Miley (and her Smilers, obviously) stole 2012′s crown right out from under model Bar Rafaeli. Not that this pop star really needs to prove her hotness, or anything. I mean, can we all talk about this photo above?! Posted over the weekend, the image shows her channeling a Bond girl bombshell in a metallic gold swimsuit, tons of glimmering jewelry, and sultry, straight-on gaze. She may have been #68 on the list just last year, but Miley’s come a LONG way since then… that’s for sure.

While Miley’s past couple of mag appearances have seen her hair flipped up (think chic ski-jump), this time around she’s going for an extreme side part that reminds us of that ’60s style she rocked a few months back. It’s more subtle than the one she usually sports, but this slicked ‘do also allows the focus to naturally drift toward Miley’s smoky beauty look— defined brows, kohl-rimmed eyes, and nude lips— giving the entire shimmery spread a very ’70s glam appeal. Also, that tattoo not-so-secretly peeking out from the maillot’s cut-out side? We see you.

Let’s be honest: scoring the #1 spot as bonafide hottie provides for MAJOR bragging rights. And Miley herself was the one who tweeted the news out over the weekend! Well, along with some other news:

Miley shows off punk side in V mag, talks style transformation

“She’s just bein’ Miley’ is some how not one of the plays on Miley Cyrus‘ name used by V for her new cover story. The edgy fashion magazine did, however, concoct “Go the Extra Miley” and “The Emancipation of Miley,” both of which tickled our funny bone.

It seems that Cyrus is using V as a platform to reveal (and we mean reveal) her new image–butt cheek and underboob and all. Though she does, as BuzzFeed pointed out, look like a pilates instructor on the cover, the inside pages see her styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele in an extreme version of the punk-inspired look she’s been favoring lately, just in time for that Met exhibit.

Of her style transformation, she says:

I’m going to change, I’m going to be different, I’m going to do what I want to do. I chopped my hair and bought a pair of Docs and never looked back.

She’s just bein’ (punk) Miley!

In one look, she pairs a backwards leather motorcycle jacket with some sort of studded dog collar-like contraption and a pair of butt cheek-revealing leather shorts. In another, she wears a shirt that says “Miley” on the chest, rolled up to reveal just a little underboob. And then, there’s some butt crack.

Miley Cyrus named hottest female celebrity!

Actress-singer Miley Cyrus has been named as the hottest female celebrity in a magazine poll.

Miley has replaced supermodel Bar Refaeli as the hottest female celebrity making in a poll by Maxim magazine.

Cyrus took a huge leap from her last year’s position at 68th spot.

Though the magazine hasn’t revealed the annual list for the world’s most beautiful celebs that usually comes with a special issue. But Cyrus broke the news on Twitter.

“Didn’t know this was coming out yet! I’m so happy to be 1 on Maxims HOT 100! dreams do come true (sic),” Cyrus tweeted along with a picture of her taken from the inside spread of the upcoming edition of the magazine.

Last year, Cyrus occupied the 68th place with Bar Refaeli, Olivia Munn, Mila Kunis, Katy Perry and Olivia Wilde on the top 5 in respective orders.

Miley is officially the hottest girl in the world, according to Maxim!

Miley Cyrus has had one hell of a week hasn’t she? As well as showing more sideboob and bum cheek than we’d ever imagine possible on her ELLE UK and V Magazine covers, she’s now ended it off by announcing she’s won herself the No. 1 spot on Maxim’s 2013 Hot 100 list. Just casual, like.

The list of hot celebs is voted for by the mag’s readers and Miley was so pleased about the whole thing that she seems to have leaked the news – before Maxim had the chance to actually announce she’d won themselves.

“Didn’t know this was coming out yet! I’m so happy to be #1 on Maxims HOT 100! #myfanskickass #dreamsdocometrue,” she tweeted.

She celebrated by appearing in the mag wearing a gold cut-out swimsuit.
