[News] Katy Perry talks Miley

For its latest issue, Entertainment Weekly got cover tartlet Katy Perry to dish on several big names while traipsing along with her across the globe — Los Angeles, London, Berlin, New York — in one week.

Perry is a bit more forthcoming when discussing her current chart rivals, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga, whose “Wrecking Ball” and “Applause,” respectively, have been hovering in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart since August, along with Katy’s “Roar.”

“She’s what, 19 or 20? She’s just living her life,” Katy says of Miley in the latest EW. “She’s super young, and there’s no directing book on how to do this. Each of us find our own way, and some of us make it out alive and some of us don’t. I mean, Madonna was naked [too]. The thing is, people come to me and ask me, out of default, what I think about all these girls, but at the end of it all I shouldn’t be considered the behavior police, because I’m not always going to be on my best behavior!”

[News] Tinie Tempah: 'Hats off to Miley, she's just trying to be herself'

‘Written In The Stars’ hitmaker Tinie Tempah is the latest star to give his opinion on the evolution of former Disney sensation Miley Cyrus and he revealed that after watching ‘Miley: The Movement’, he can’t help but be impressed by her.

Speaking to Digital Spy about how the MTV documentary opened his eyes to her career and what she’s trying to do, he explained:

“I watched the documentary – hats off to her. I’ve got to respect the girl for that. She’s going through that very tough phase that a lot of people in her position do, when they’ve been associated with something for so long that isn’t necessarily them.”

“You have to be a certain way, maybe even more responsible with your private life. She’s done with that now and she’s trying to reinvent herself. When she’s going out and going to the clubs, she’s listening to hip-hop music [...] she’s just trying to be herself.”

If you're a Smiler you know that on the 23rd November our beautiful idol Miley will turn 21! In honour of her birthday I decided to make a Birthday Project! Make sure to take part in it, it's really easy! Just follow the rules below:

• You have to write "Happy Birthday, Miley", "Happy 21st Birthday, Miley" or any other birthday wish you want to wish Miley on a little poster, sign or just a sheet of paper. You also have to write the name of your country. For example: "Happy 21st Birthday, Miley! From all your UK Smilers!" or "Happy birthday, Miley! Bulgaria loves you!".  

• If you want to, you can stick Miley pictures or any other decorations on the poster.  

• You have to take a photo of you holding the poster. The photo must be with a good quality so that the text can be read. Note: You must be on the photo!

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira talked about Miley while answering one of the questions:

RS: Have you met people through Twitter like you used to on Myspace?

SF: I met Miley Cyrus through twitter. She followed me and after I realized she was doing work with Terry (Richardson) and that she was really cool and then we just started talking and she invited me to her album release party. It was a lot of fun and she's really smart. People are totally fucking with her. It was nice to be around someone who wasn't competitive — girls can be so competitive — or worried about how to act. She didn't care about who I was, someone who wasn't judging me for once.

Cyrus, who admitted to Billboard that not only is Lil' Kim one of her favorite artists, but "on the inside" she sees herself as a replica of the female MC. And when Cyrus donned the sequined outfit, a bright purple wig and a strategically placed purple pasty, the look was so spot-on that the rapper herself gave her seal of approval.

"Awwww. Look at my baby @mileycyrus tonight!!! Looking GORGEOUS!!!" Lil' Kim tweeted. "I wish I was there to squeeze your boob :) :) Love U so much !!!! #mytwin."
