Ke$ha Was Paid $1.63 To Write Miley Cyrus Song

Pop star Ke$ha was only paid $1.63 to write the title track for Miley Cyrus’ 2009 EP “The Time Of Our Lives”.
At the beginning of her career, the “Tik Tok” hit-maker penned a handful of songs for other artists, including Britney Spears and The Veronicas – and she was often shocked when she received pay checks for her creative efforts.
She tells Seventeen magazine, “It was like $1.63 cents for a song I wrote – I think for Miley Cyrus. It was an embarrassingly tiny amount. But I never cashed it and it’s on a bulletin board in my house.”
It was a rewarding experience, however – because Ke$ha had a blast working with Cyrus.
She told MTV News, “Writing for Miley was fun ’cause I think she’s funny. I met her and I liked her vibe, so I was like, ‘OK, I’ll write, like, a party song for a younger crowd.’”

Miley Cyrus - Most anticipated albums of 2013

Judging from Miley Cyrus‘ vast and varied musical influences in recent memory, we imagine her upcoming fourth album will cover a myriad of genres, from hip-hop and R&B to dubstep and everything in between.
It’s been well-publicized that Cyrus is working closely Pharrell Williams for her 2013 release. She also hit the studio with Meek Mill and Tyler, the Creator, and subsequently gave the heave-ho to any shred left of her Hannah Montana alter ego.
So what exactly will this album sound like? Miley confirmed all the beats (so far) are hip-hop influenced with a heavy-handed, dirty-South vibe. Pharrell Williams said the album’s “nowhere near what it is that you think.”
Other collaborators include Flippa and Pop Wansel, who have previously worked with big names like Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa, and Alicia Keys. At this moment in time, Cyrus’ list of collaborators is giving us more questions than answers — the biggest one: will Miley rap?
Finally, Cyrus also posted a very cryptic tweet that read, “I’m ready when @1tiffanyfoxx & @LilKim are.” A Miley and Lil Kim collabo? Go on ladies… we’re listening.

Pharrell talks working with Miley

HypeBeast recently had the chance to sit down and talk with Pharrell Williams, who has been working with Miley on her new music. Check out what he said below:

You’ve worked with a lot of different artists in the studio, what is it like working with artist from different genres – for example Tyler, the Creator and Miley Cyrus? What we all have in common is that we like new stuff, we like making music that doesn’t exist. That’s what Tyler has in common with me and what I have in common with Miley. Put it this way, he heard her music and next thing you know he’s in the picture with her. That’s not what you would expect, but that’s what I love doing: totally surprising people.
Regarding the Miley Cyrus album, how did you approach this? Was it you guiding it or was it a shared collaborative effort? She is an old soul that was trapped in a younger situation who just bursted at the scenes and I was just happy to be there during that transformation.
So it must have been easy and fun working with her?Yeah for sure, I remember when they use to ask me about the same questions with Justin (Timberlake); people be like why you going in with *NSYNC? Because there’s somebody in there that you don’t know.

Miley and Rihanna: Fashion Twinsies in Dita Magnifique Sunglasses

You’d think if two major celebs wore identical fashion items, things might turn a bit, well, catty.
Case in point, style mavens Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have both been spotted in matching retro-inspired cat-eye Magnifique sunglasses by Dita, looking every bit the part.
The luxury eyewear line, which is manufactured in Japan, boasts edgy silhouettes and fashion-forward frames, attracting the likes of countless celeb fans like Oprah, Brad Pitt, Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie and more.
As for the chic street-style looks seen on these two stars, we have to hand it to them for having great taste.
We especially love the oversize frames and glamorous shape of the Magnifique—suitable for only the boldest fashionistas; which may be exactly why these two songbirds would be shading themselves in the exact same stylish way.
While Cyrus is smokin’ hot in the tortoiseshell option, we love RiRi’s stunning version in all black best.
Who do you think looks better in DITA sunglasses? Miley Cyrus or Rihanna?
