Miley Cyrus world premiered her newest single “We Can’t Stop” on On Air with Ryan Seacrest and took on the role as co-host of the show with Ellen K. The two talked about everything from when her album will be released to how she scored being crowned No. 1 on Maxim‘s Hot 100 list.
“Ryan, I’m kind of glad you’re not here because I got to push the button,” Miley laughed. “That was really exciting!”
The songstress explained that the song is really for her fans. “Everyone always judges and say what they want, but my fans… have really stood by me no matter what I’ve been through … and this is a song that says where I’m at in my life right now.”
Although she doesn’t have an exact release date set yet, Miley adds that her record will be out sometime “this year.” “I’m really happy with my record because I feel like I have so many options for singles,” Miley added. “My record is like a movie. It’s a story of what I’ve been going through the past two years.”
So when will we see the 20-year-old take her new music on the road? “Hopefully I’m touring ASAP,” Miley shared. “I’m going on a radio tour right now to … play my song and take over everyone’s little green button.”
And as for the music video, Miley revealed it will be ready in “ten days…we shot it just three days ago.” And after seeing Miley’s twitpics of her twerking with a bear backpack on, it’s clear it’ll be quite the party.
Miley also talked her fans, known as Smilers. “Every time I ask them to trend anything … they always make it happen … Maxim—I‘d like to say I’m really the most beautiful girl in the world, but it’s because the fans make that happen.”
