[Gallery Updates] On set of 'We Can't Stop' music video

Yesterday (30th May), Miley shooted the music video for her new upcoming single 'We Can't Stop'! The song comes out 3rd June and it hits radios 11th June!

Amid continuous rumours of relationship trouble between Miley and Liam Hemsworth, PEOPLE posted an article to their site earlier today to let everyone know that the couple “are still living together but have no wedding plans.” A source told them that “they still need to work on their relationship, but after they decided to postpone the wedding, they are doing better. They feel less stress and less pressure now. Miley can focus on her music”. (Source).

I think Miley looked absolutely gorgeous in these candids, check them out in the gallery!

[News] 7 Rappers Miley Cyrus Should Collaborate With

Miley Cyrus is prepping for one insane year, and hip-hop looks to be a significant part of it. This should come as no surprise (she did namedrop Jay-Z in "Party in the U.S.A."). After unleashing the groovy tune, "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks" with Snoop Lion, Miley might as well take this hip-hop collabo thing all the way. Rumored songs with Tyler, The Creator, Lil Kim and Pharrell are already in pocket. Here, some other artists we could see Miley coupling up with in the studio.

Nicki Minaj

After donning a Nicki costume for Halloween, Miley should take some of that attitude and create a feisty summertime smash with the Head Barb. "Super Bass Part II"?

Future

Miley would get the best of both worlds from the new King of AutoTune, who could help the actress/singer get out those feelings of heartbreak with a vulnerable single. Or he could help her turn the clubs up with a twerk-ready tune.

French Montana

He already has a song dedicated to Miley. Well, somewhat. These two met at a Pre-Grammy party in February, so a party track should follow suit.

Wiz Kalifah

Miley's already shown her love for the ganja with Snoop Lion, and we’re sure Wiz would comply. A slow jam a la "Up" would be perfect for these two.

Meek Mill

This one may just be in the works. The pair was spotted in the studio late last year, and rap's No. 1 yeller gave Miley praise for her “twerkin” video. We’re sure Meek can get Miley to get angry on a record quickly and boost her vocals a few decibels.

Drake

Both are former child stars who fronted teenie-bop shows. A song about their ability to dominate any industry would be the ultimate middle finger to haters.

Waka Flocka

Waka has already expressed interest in Miley’s new hair and a desire to join her in the booth one day. In an interview with Pigeons and Planes, the rapper even says he has "a sick, sick, sick record" for her. Let's hear it.

[Fashion] Breaking Down Miley Cyrus' 'Ashtrays And Heartbreaks' Music Video Style

It's been a long road to Miley Cyrus' highly-anticipated return to music, one that's been filled with haircuts, style switchups, and more magazine covers than we can EVER keep track of. And while we're always down to hash out each and every one of her predictably boundary-pushing outfits via Instagram and the red carpet, today the star is throwing us something a little different. Yep, a MUSIC VIDEO. Snoop Lion recruited Miley for his reggae-inflected track "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks," which we first got a taste of back in April. Given the song title and mellow beats, it's only fitting that the accompanying clip have a similar laid-back fashion vibe, as well.

The twosome are depicted mostly as reflections in various Los Angeles windows, each working their trademark clothing pieces in the cool color-washed visuals. For Snoop, this means his classic adidas tracksuit steez and tons of necklaces. He might be casual, but leave it to Miley to glam things up big time in crisp white-on-white, bright red lips, and massive hoop earrings. Say whatever you want about Miley and Snoop being music's odd couple, but in this music video, (fashion) opposites really DO attract. See for yourself below!

[News] Snoop Lion, Miley Cyrus Haunt A City In 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks’ Video

The Artist Formerly Known as Snoop Dogg and his pal Miley Cyrus preside over the various ongoings of a crowded city in the music video for “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” which was released on Thursday (May 30).

In the video, the two artists are only seen as projections on a variety of reflective surfaces, including car windows, store fronts, and a heart-shaped pair of sunglasses. Snoop and Cyrus act as spectators to a few different scenes, including a break-up (and eventual reunion) and an old man feeding birds. The video reflects the feel-good nature of the song, which encourages to the listener to “raise a glass to the memories [and] set them free”; not surprisingly, Snoop puffs some celebratory smoke in slow-motion as well.

The single appears on “Reincarnated,” Snoop Lion’s first album under his new, reggae-fied moniker. The album debuted at number 16 on the Billboard 200 and has sold 40,000 copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Meanwhile, Cyrus announced at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards that “We Can’t Stop,” the first single from her fourth studio album, will be released on June 3. The single will precede her fourth studio album, due out later this year.

[News] Miley unveils 'We Can't Stop' single artwork on Times Square billboard

Popstars love to make a bit of a song and dance about everything they do these days, don’t they? We’re usually bombarded with one-second teasers of their new singles or – even more annoyingly – teasers of the actual teaser. Well now Miley Cyrus has decided she wants to show us the cover for her brand spanking new single ‘We Can’t Stop’ – and instead of just plonking it on Twitter and being done with it, she’s gone for a slightly different approach.

Yep – Miley’s debuted the artwork on a mahoosive flashy billboard thing in New York’s Times Square 5 days before we *finally* get to hear the track. Agh. Wanna see it? Look no further, you inquisitive little rascals.

ET VOILA – one Miley Cyrus single cover for your delectation. It…um…doesn’t actually have her on it, but what we can take from it is:

1) She has a shiny new logo.
2) It looks to us like this is gonna be a big party track that’d have Britney up in the ‘clab’ and all that malarky. Why do we think this? COOL RED CUPS A LA EVERY AMERICAN TEEN MOVIE EVER. Hoorah.
3) There isn’t actually a hashtag in the song title, which we’re quite happy about. Pressing ‘alt’ and ’3′ on our keyboards can get a bit annoying.
4) Someone has very swooshable hair.
5) Earnings NET rises 2.5%. Oh…wait…that’s not part of the cover.

What do you think? Liking the cover? It doesn’t give *too* much away, does it? Hmm. Comments please.

[News] Miley Debuts “We Can’t Stop” Single Artwork On Times Square Billboard

Here’s a list of things that Miley Cyrus can do:

1. Release a new single in a few days.
2. Rock a super-chic haircut better than you.
3. Rent out a Times Square billboard to unveil her single artwork, an image for which she isn’t even on the cover.

Here’s a list of things that Miley Cyrus can’t do:

1. Stop.
2. Be tamed.

Yes, the inimitable Mileybird is returning to airwaves with her upcoming Mike Will-produced single “We Can’t Stop,” dropping June 3, and pop’s avant-garde princess just casually snagged a Times Square billboard this afternoon to show off the cover for the track. Some notable details include the new font (love!), the red Solo cup (why?) and the fact that she’s not even on it (huh?). Yes, she rented out a billboard to show off… a picture of a hand holding a cup and her new font.

Incomparable.

Biggest accomplishment this year: Working with producer Mike WiLL on her upcoming single "We Can't Stop"

Cyrus has been a star for a long time, and at this point anything she does is going to draw a ton of attention, whether it involves twerking or not. She'll be releasing her fourth studio album later this year, and recently confirmed that the album's first single "We Can't Stop" will drop on June 3. Her lifestyle away from the studio has also made headlines, with everything from her outrageous haircut to her relationship with Liam Hemsworth subject to constant analysis and scrutiny.

[News] Miley Describes Upcoming Single ‘We Can’t Stop’ as ‘A New Miley’

We know Miley Cyrus can’t be tamed, but now she can’t be stopped!
The singer who is set to premiere her latest single “We Can’t Stop” on June 3rd on On Air with Ryan Seacrest has revealed to us it’s a whole new sound for her. In fact, the singer tells us, “it’s a new Miley.”
Describing the soon-to-be-hit track as “more funky and R&B, pop” sounding than her earlier records. Adding, “it’s hard to describe in a good way. [It's] infectious.”
The singer, who has been in the studio for the last year cooking up a brand new sound that’s all her own, assures us: “People will be surprised and excited.” And if the album cover art reveals anything, we’re sure it’ll also be a party!
Be sure to tune in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to hear the track and all things Miley on June 3rd!

[Fashion Face-off] Miley Or Rihanna: Who Wore Chanel Suspenders Best?

Given their super-nerdy connotation, suspenders aren't exactly the most obvious luxe designer piece to obsess over. But if there's anyone can make the Steve Urkel staple officially cool, it's Miley Cyrus and Rihanna. Together. We first spotted Ri working Chanel's white logo suspenders back in January on one of her seven (!!) Complex covers, giving the accessory her signature edgy twist with a camo print bra, oversized bottoms, and a hair bandanna. Now it's Miley's turn, and she's following suit with similar take on the black version. Paired with a white belly-baring top and black trousers (not to mention, an insane gold manicure), Miley's total proof that suspenders really do work IRL...it's all just a matter of how you style 'em.

She tweeted the selfie over the weekend with the simple caption "I <3 #chanel." Now, if you know Miley like WE do, you'll understand this is non-news. Her "most prized possession" is a Chanel onesie, after all, and now she's making us seriously jealous of her ever-expanding stash. The singer's been majorly about showing off her designer gear these days (see: exhibit A, B, and C), and there's absolutely no doubt there's a whole lot more where that came from when her single "We Can't Stop" and subsequent press whirlwind/performances/MUSIC VIDEO happen really soon. T-minus five days!

Until all THAT goes down, let's duke it out! It's a tough one, but Miley Cyrus or Rihanna: who pulled off the Chanel suspenders the best?!

[News] "We Can't Stop" billboard at Times Square!

Miley has a billboard with her new single We Can't Stop's cover!!
She revaled the news in her Twitter with a photo of her billboard and said: "#TimeSquare #wecantstop everyone in NY rush TS and send me pics of my billboard! #5dayswecantstop".
Then she posted the official cover, which you can see above or in the gallery here.
From the single cover, it seems like We Can't Stop is dancey and maybe electro.. Anyways, I can't wait to hear it! Don't forget it comes out in only 5 days - 3rd June!! Stay tuned for more updates!

[News] She's Just Being Miley - And I Love Her For It

Destiny Hope “Smiley” Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992. Hannah Montana, and her regular-girl alter ego Miley Stewart, were born eight and a half years later, in March 2006. But the Miley Cyrus we know today wasn’t really born until December 10, 2010, when the tabloid site TMZ posted a potentially career-ending video of the Disney kid at her 18th birthday, smoking something (salvia, according to Miley) from a bong. It was supposed to be shocking, but the only shocking part was how normal the whole episode was.

Watching the clip now, it’s annoying in the way anyone else’s home movies are. But while the specific activity depicted may have been illegal (laws regarding salvia vary depending on state and country) and/or dangerous (see Amy Rose’s drug primer), it’s also kind of mesmerizing in its silly, commonplace immaturity and relative innocence. It’s like any goofy high-school party: Bad ’90s alt-rock is playing in the background (Bush’s “Comedown,” just to eradicate all subtlety), and the boys outside of the frame are instructing Miley how to smoke, whether she needs their help or not, as boys tend to do. She inhales, coughs, makes a face, and performs the act of feeling something. Then she sees a guy who she thinks resembles her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth: “He looks so much like Liam! Is that me tripping?” Then she devolves into a giggle-fit, grabs for some Frosted Flakes, and growls mangled Nicki Minaj lyrics.

This is what I love about Miley Cyrus, and what makes her stand out among a generation of former child stars trying to grow up in the public eye: She insists on doing standard kid stuff, even as millions of people watch, judge, criticize, and assign meaning to her every move—and it isn’t some tragic story. She doesn’t seem like a victim or a cautionary tale. She’s just…Miley. While Britney, Lindsay, and Amanda leaned into their extended breakdowns and let their struggles surpass their art, Miley tiptoed to the line, did a little dance on it, and then got back to work, both as a performer and as a teenager.

There were always signs she could pull off this balancing act. The daughter of “Achy Breaky Heart” singer Billy Ray Cyrus and a goddaughter of the legendarily self-assured Dolly Parton, Miley saved her father from one-hit-wonderdom before she hit puberty. They had their father-daughter bumps along the way, with Dad doing more than his share of the acting out by participating in this pathetic GQ story, but they seemed to work things out and now banter back and forth on Twitter. Inside the machine, she excelled: She was a ball of charm and energy on her Disney Channel hit Hannah Montana and its various soundtracks and movies. And her early singles pretty much rule: There’s the faux-’80s catchiness of her first hit, “See You Again,” and the country-pop outrage of “7 Things.” Even the schlocky “The Climb” still sounds uplifting while perusing the candy aisle at the grocery store. And the genius of “Party in the U.S.A.” speaks for itself.

Like all teenagers, Miley excels at sly subversion. On tour in 2011, she started covering Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” to the consternation of rock snobs everywhere. Around the same time she took to wearing an oversize Kurt Cobain T-shirt as a dress on errand runs. But Miley’s affection for Kurt, aside from just enjoying his music, doesn’t actually seem so crazy. Kurt was friendly with Miley’s dad, and I’m sure she found plenty to relate to in his music and his life. In his suicide note, Kurt wrote, “The fact is, I can’t fool you, any one of you. It simply isn’t fair to you or me. The worst crime I can think of would be to rip people off by faking it and pretending as if I’m having 100% fun.” Miley presumably learned in her Disney days what it was to feel like an industry puppet with a painted-on smile.

She got political at the end of 2011, releasing a remix of her song “Liberty Walk” in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement and recording a surprisingly poignant cover of Bob Dylan’s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” for Amnesty International. On Twitter, she spoke out for immigration reform and body acceptance, and she got a tattoo to show her support for marriage equality. It’s not all perfect—she comes from a privileged place and might not always grasp her innate advantages, like for instance when she overuses hip-hop slang like ratchet—but no teenage experiment is.

More important, she branches out with confidence. “Just recorded a banger,” she tweeted the other day, hyping her new album, which at one pointed was rumored to be titled Reborn. She’s seen doing what may very well be drugs at clubs, but there’s no rehab or paparazzi beatdowns, just dancing. Her relationship with Hemsworth seems bumpy, but there have been no public scandals. She’s the most public kind of person you can think of, and yet a lot of her business is private. That’s a tricky thing to pull off.

Over the years her look has gone from popular-girl flat-ironed highlights and preppy outfits to experimenting with some California hippie costumes before easing into an early-20s DGAF collection, reserving classy dresses for the red carpet. Recent sartorial highlights include a big “Sex, Drugs, and Rap” T-shirt with a snapback, short-shorts, and stilettos, and a “Treat Your Girl Right” crop-top hoodie, along with an out-there Met Ball success. Above all, though, is the hair, which she chopped off and bleached last year, in a radical, celebratory move that didn’t feel like a desperate grab for attention, but rather as that thing that girls do at least once when they’re young and bored.

What I love most about Miley, though, is her sense of humor. Last month she uploaded to her Facebook page fake-grainy footage of a mysterious figure twerking in a unicorn onesie. The clip collected more than 57,000 “likes” and millions of YouTube views, catapulting a year-old song—not her own—onto the charts. At the end, the figure—whose body is entirely cloaked in costume, effectively desexualizing a dance that’s by its very nature suggestive—removes the hood to reveal it’s Miley just being Miley, with her fresh blonde ’do and a big smile. She can’t help being a star, but she’s going to screw with people’s expectations.

Or sometimes, she won’t. On April 16, the day after taxes were due in the United States, the 20-year-old took to her Twitter account and, without shame, sent her father a message: “@billyraycyrus just found out you’ve been paying for my wifi and phone bill for the past year. Thanks dad!” Anyone still trying to grow up can relate. ♦

[Fashion] Miley Cyrus Tweets Glam Pic in Celine Sunglasses

How did Miley Cyrus spend her Wednesday?
Cruising around town in high style, of course. Taking a break from the recording studio, the singer shared a new portrait calling out her chic Celine shades in the caption: "Another day. #Celine @Versace."
Also prominent in the pic? The star's slicked back blond mohawk, multiple ear piercing and floral top.

Liam Hemsworth's fiancèe has mastered the art of the selfie since joining Instagram last month. Luckily from the angle of the picture it seems the actress was not behind the wheel while snapping her newest shot.
Safety before style!

[Fashion] Miley Is Summertime Ready At The Studio In Celine And Versace

Knowing the little that we know about the business of making hit records, we know that it’s a grueling, often times 24 hour process. Miley Cyrus has been busting her butt in the studio a lot as of late, and while we might be more inclined to work in, oh I dont know, some jeans and a comfy tee, Miss Miley has a slightly more glam wardrobe when she’s on her grind. Getting ready to release her single #WeCantStop and her video for Ashtrays & Heartbreaks sometime this week (supposedly), as well as attending the Billboard Music Awards, you would think Miley would be too exhausted to turn it up on a regular work day, but wait, this is MILEY we’re talking about here. The singer tweeted a photo of herself in the studio with the caption “@Versace #celine #STUDIO #allgolderthang,”in which she is not only wearing a killer pair of Versace logo sandals but also an AMAZING black and white striped bow top and a pair of black ankle-baring pants.

Now, we know Miley is a BIG fan of the black and white monochrome stripe, as she has rocked the style in the form of skinnies and even a jumpsuit, but this top just epitomizes both summer and Miley to us. It’s chic and forward-thinking but also playful and young, just like our girl. Miley accessorized her look with a pair of classic wayfarer-style sunnies and wore her blonde hair in a slicked back pompadour, making the look just a little bit rockabilly. How does she do it?

What do you think of Miley Cyrus’ studio outfit?

[News] We Created The Photobomb Of Our Fantasies

Hey, Miley Cyrus, we know you’re having an awesome week, what with your new “We Can’t Stop” countdown clock and presenting/eye-rolling Justin Bieber’s win at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, but we just need to hold everything a moment and CELEBRATE a) your Twitter account and b) your posting our favorite JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND BRITNEY SPEARS IN DENIM 4-EVER PHOTO. Except we couldn’t just leave it the way it was; we love what we wish was Britney and Justin’s double denim wedding pic so much, that we took things one step further and made it the photobomb of our fantasies!
Posting the now-famous pic of Britney and Justin attending the 2001 American Music Awards in matchy-matchy denim to Twitter, Miley memed “NEVER FORGET” with the caption “This happened.” Oh, we we’ll never forget this pop cultural nugget, Milers. And just to sweeten the deal, we know how much you like to pop up in people’s photos, AND how badly you probably wish you’d been around to photobomb the Canadian tuxedo’d couple (both parties have certainly improved their fashion sense over the years, especially Mr. “Suit & Tie” over here), so we added/photobombed you in! See? It’s like you were always there! (“The Internet” = Time Machine)

[News] Miley Cyrus Got Snoopified!

Miley Cyrus has been making headlines all week! She recently appeared at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards to present/ eye roll Justin Bieber with his Top Male Artist award, announced that her new jam, “We Can’t Stop,” will be out June 3, AND she kept her cool while posing with Madonna at BBMA! So, what did Miley do to celebrate all of this? She got Snoopifed! And by “Snoopified,” we mean she used Snoop Dogg/Snoop Lion’s new app, “Snoopify,” and utilized it TO PERFECTION.

Now, for all y’all who don’t have Snoopify, here’s the quick 411. Snoopify superimposes Snoop-themed stickers on your pictures. You can add golden grills, dollar bills, busty ladies in blue bikinis, cigarettes, “funny-looking” leaves, etc., to any photo you like! Clearly Miley has MASTERED her “Ashtrays And Heartbreaks” collaborator’s app and took to Twitter to share her Snoop’d-out masterpiece: “@tishcyrus @SnoopDogg #SNOOPIFY #BO$$ #whatitdonephew.” Yeah, so it’s our professional recommendation that you take a minute out of your day to “Snoopify” yourselves. It’s a supercheap, zero-calorie way toward instant gratification! (Seriously, seeing yourself surrounded by fake money feels pretty awesome!)

[News] Rihanna And Miley Cyrus Would Be Into Making Out, Say Rihanna and Miley

Today in Kissing Girls, Liking It, and Hoping My Boyfriend Liam Hemsworth Don't Mind It, a male fantasy to surpass them all: Miley Cyrus and Rihanna would be down to make out, according to TMZ and Vibe respectively, who (rather creepily) surveyed both of them at different times. Actually, f*ck it: It's my fantasy too. What red blooded human being of any sex doesn't want to see two beautiful women kiss? What are you, a pet rock?
After Miley sounded off at the Maxim Hot 100 Party about Rihanna truly deserving her #1 status, Vibe asked her if she'd hook up with Ri-Ri, and she gave a coy Scarlett O'Hara-style semi-response: "You know, we'll see... It depends."
Later, she altered her answer to an extreme affirmative, because She's Just Being Miley and everything.

@teammileyny @vibemagazine @rihanna I changed my mind. The answer is Definitely.
— Miley Ray Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) May 18, 2013
"Tell her to call me," Rihanna tossed off to the paparazzo when he shouted to her that Miley was interested in tongue wrestling. Promising for all! It's certainly the season for it, considering we're about to enter the Daisy Duke/Corona Extra with lime/Not Looking For Anything Serious time of the year! And something tells me that Liam Hemsworth would definitively not mind it.

[News] Miley Talks Justin Bieber Collaboration, Explains New Single "We Can't Stop"

Nothing is official just yet, but it sure sounds like Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber are making music together.
Just the other day after the former Disney tween was spotted leaving the Biebster's recording studio, a source told us that something has been in the works.
What does Ms. Cyrus have to say about the rumors?
"I know pictures are flying around," she told me Sunday on the blue carpet at the Billboard Music Awards. "You guys will have to wait and see. I'm the biggest at top secrets. I've had this single ["We Can't Stop," to be released June 3] ready for about a year, and I've had to keep my lips sealed and just not saying anything. So you'll see."
Can't wait.
Now, talking about "We Can't Stop," Cyrus says it's for and about her fans.

"They really believed in me the whole time," she explained. "I feel like this song really is for them and how I feel—that I can't stop and I'm going to be who I am and they should be who they are and that they can't stop and not one can stop us.
"It really is an inspiring song for my fans," Cyrus continued. "We don't care, we can do what we want."
And for those keeping score, yes, Cyrus was wearing her engagement ring. Her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, is currently at the Cannes Film Festival promoting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Cyrus smiled, "I'm riding solo tonight."

[Fashion] Miley Wears Crochet Balmain Jumpsuit To 2013 Billboards

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards are off and running, and who better to kick off the night than Miss Miley Ray Cyrus? Even before the singer hit the red— er, blue— carpet in Las Vegas tonight, she tweeted out this photo working the camera in a black and white crochet Balmain jumpsuit. Now, we're already well aware of how much this star LOVES both formal and informal onesies, but haven't seen her in a knitted version of the comfy staple...well, until now. Fresh off the French label's Spring 2013 runway, this intricately-woven piece comes covered in diamonds and teeny tiny cutouts. The result is simultaneously boundary-pushing, effortlessly chic, and 100% Miley.

There's really no bigger fan of achromatic color palettes than Miley (remember those rad Beetlejuice pants?!), but we love how she continues to shake up the classic black and white with pops of color in her beauty look. Still going strong after that gorgeous Valentino jumpsuit she wore to the Maxim Hot 100 party, this time she's showing off bold brows, bright red lips, and a swooped-up, side-parted coif. The PERFECT outfit for her huge BBMA announcement, right? Her new single 'We Can't Stop' is coming out June 3rd, so the countdown officially begins right this second.

[News] Miley Cyrus' 'We Can't Stop' Single Due June 3

"Me and Mike WiLL teamed up, and it really just turned out to be perfect," pop star says during Billboard Music Awards pre-show.

Next month, Miley Cyrus will make her long-awaited return to music: "We Can't Stop," the 20-year-old singer's next single, will be unveiled on June 3, she confirmed during the 2013 Billboard Music Awards pre-show blue carpet presented by Cambio on Sunday night (May 19). Cyrus will premiere the song, produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, on Ryan Seacrest's syndicated radio show next month.

"I'm so excited!" Cyrus gushed to Michelle Marie about "We Can't Stop" on the Cambio blue carpet. The single will precede Cyrus' still-untitled fourth studio album, which follows 2010's "Can't Be Tamed."

"I feel like I can really be myself," Cyrus said of her forthcoming album. "I really have more of a connection of who I am, and I feel like I can maybe express that more in my music now."

Of "We Can't Stop," Cyrus added, "Me and Mike-WiLL [Made-It] teamed up, and it really just turned out to be perfect and exactly what I wanted, and exactly what I wanted my first sound to be, and my first look to be. I think it's an important message for me to tell my fans -- they haven't stopped waiting, so it's great."

Cyrus is presenting an award at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, airing live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on ABC. "30 Rock" alum Tracy Morgan is serving as host, with Don Mischer producing.

"It's been such a while since I've been able to tell people what I've been up to -- it's been a minute, so I'm just happy to be able to tell my fans what I've been doing," Cyrus said of her new material.

[News] Miley Cyrus: Confidence is Sexy

Miley Cyrus has explained her sex appeal lies in the fact that she never tries too hard.
The singer recently topped Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list after shedding her good girl image with a radical make-over.
Last year, the former Disney actress overhauled her girl-next-door look with a bleached blonde crop and a rock-inspired new wardrobe.
The Hannah Montana starlet explained that her drastic new hair cut and colour have given her an attitude boost.
“I think just never trying too hard,” Miley explained to ET Online. “My favourite thing is I love having short hair. I love it being just all about being confident and giving face. I love that.”
Miley, who is engaged to fellow actor Liam Hemsworth, added that she felt honoured to have been voted the sexiest woman.
The 20-year-old, who maintains her slim and toned figure with regular Pilates sessions, beat the likes of Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence and Rihanna to the title.
The honour has previously been awarded to Hollywood bombshells including Jessica Alba and Katy Perry.
“It’s amazing! I said it in my article: I think it’s every girl’s dream to be able to say that they got number one in Maxim’s 100, and it’s kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so it’s just insane,” Miley gushed.
The stunning star suspects that her huge fan base had something to do with her winning the top spot.
“It’s really because of the fans,” she explained. “I would like to think it’s because I’m the most gorgeous woman in the world but it’s because of my fans, really. So, it’s awesome.”
